The Measurement

Electrical behavior becomes visible when it becomes data.

KEY MEASUREMENTS

What the system measures.

VOLTAGEVElectrical potential difference
CURRENTAFlow of electric charge
POWERWRate of energy consumption
ENERGYWhTotal energy consumed over time
FROM SIGNAL TO INSIGHT

How raw signals become
meaningful electrical data.

01SENSOR SIGNAL
02ADC ACQUISITION
03ESP32 PROCESSING
04ELECTRICAL CALCULATION
05ENERGY DATA
P = V × I

Electrical power is the product of voltage and current. The ESP32 calculates instantaneous power from simultaneous voltage and current samples.

E = P × t

Energy consumption is power integrated over time. The system accumulates power measurements to track total energy usage.

WHAT THE DATA REVEALS

Visibility creates
understanding.

Real-time measurement enables the system to identify power consumption patterns, track energy usage over time, detect changes in electrical load, and highlight potentially inefficient consumption.

POWER CONSUMPTION

Instantaneous and average power draw of the connected load.

ENERGY USAGE

Accumulated energy consumption tracked over time.

LOAD CHANGES

Detection of switching events and load variations.
